War of the Worlds

So I went to see this movie and well... its visually stunning, I'll give it that. However, for me, the movie lacked depth. The actors weren't very good, I was getting annoyed all the time, the story wasn't that great, and the dialogue fell short. There were also some loop holes in the movie, and many unexplained moments and things in the movie. Really, I think Spielberg was trying to go for a more psychological epic, rather than an action epic. Well, okay, I'll give him credit for attempting it. Overall, it does well in outdoing the rest of the hollywood films out today, by a mile. However, for a Spielberg film, compared to ther rest of his others, War of the Worlds isn't all that great.
