It is a restless moment. She has kept her head lowered, to give him a chance to come closer.But he could not, for lack of courage. She turns and walks away. That era has passed. Nothing that belonged to it exists any more. He remembers those vanished years. As though looking through a dusty window pane, the past is something he could see, but not touch. And everything he sees is blurred and indistinct.
Okay, so there are a lot of things going on right now. First, Ivan is moving away back to the Philippines. Part of me is sad to see him leave, but part of me is glad that he is. Maybe he can find something there that really makes him feel content and fulfilled.
Exams are also coming up. I've got three in two days that are at the beginning of finals week, so I've been trying to study hard for those three. The last one I have is eight days later, so that should give me enough time to get prepped for that one. It sucks having all three in one go though... it really doesn't give me enough time to study.
With my sprained wrist, I haven't been able to spar or work out on the punching bag. Its been tough the last two days... its really hard to get things done and do the simple tasks like cooking, getting changed, brushing my teeth.. etc. I'm loaded up on painkillers, and my doctor says it should be feeling a lot better in about a week.BLT has also been on my mind quite a bit. A lot of people have backed out on us, and thus we have been forced to re-assign roles and double cast people. It really ticks me off to see people back out on us, especially since a lot of them had really lame reasons. I know people have other lives, but to say you can't commit because you don't feel "comfortable" with young people is just a poor excuse. Something like that really shouldn't be the focus when serving God. It just dampens my heart to know that not everybody is commited, and that there is still so much for me to do with so few people to help me out. I'm not looking for pity, but I wish everybody would pull their weight. Sometimes I think about quiting BLT.
My trip is also coming up. I haven't heard from Maria in a while now, so I'm getting somewhat concerned. Moreover, I haven't done much planning for it because I've been so busy with school and work. It's going to be hard cramming all the stuff I need to do before the trip in 3 short days prior to my flight.
Altogether, things have been rough the last two weeks. Therefore, I've decided to cheer myself up with cuteness. See below for details.
