Unfortunately, Warner has requested that the trailer of the movie be removed from the interet. The reason is unknown to me, but I can certainly guess why. If you were able to catch it before it was removed from the internet, then you are as lucky as I am. If not, then you suck for being too slow. You missed out on what was one of the greatest trailers of all time. Seriously.
The reason why this movie stands out to me is because it's a historical film. Although it probably isn't all that correct in terms of facts, people, and relationships during the time, it is none the less a film that diverges into a battle that has always sparked my interest. However, it is not just the historical theme that makes this movie so intriguing. The fact that the it is filmed completely on a green screen (Similar to that of Sin City, which I also loved) allows the movie to focus on the visual aesthetics. Not only does the action look great, but the backgrounds in which the film takes place appears top-notch. Altogether, the style of the movie just looks great, with its grey-colored look and the intense over-the-top emotional moments throughout the film. Ultimately, this movie reminds me of historical/mythical writings written during this period, such that of Homer, Thucydides, and most particularly, Herodotus
To mix history and Frank Miller is to mix beauty with art.

UPDATE:
Well, I was able to find the trailer online. So if you haven't seen it yet, or if you want to see it again, check it out HERE!
