Goodbye Dan

So I say goodbye to you, my childhood friend. We grew up together as young ones. It's so hard to see you go.

Remember the summer when we hung out everyday? We would always go see movies, and your mum would drive us. Those were great times.

Remember when you were sick with pink eye, but I decided to come hang with you anyways and we played football on the street? Those were funny times.

Remember when you came to my baptism? You cheered for me when I got into the water. You were supportive till the end. Those were inspiring times.

Remeber when we played football and tag together during recess and lunch almost everyday? Those were exciting times.

We shared so many memories in such a short amount of time. Although we since lost touch after that, hearing you go still makes me sad. It make's me remember the good times we had, the friendship you gave me.

Indeed, Dan, I'm going to miss you. But I'm at peace knowing that, this life is so short, and before long, I'll see you again in heaven.

I'll bring the football.

Cheers, bud.
Chris

On a side note, I wrote a poem for Uncle Dennis when he passed away. I've revised it a bit for Dan, and if anybody is feeling down about everything, read it, because it gives me a lot of hope and peace knowing that we'll all see him again.

Dear Brother Daniel
Journey home with care,
Make serene your world forever,
And spread your wings midair

Dear Brother Daniel,
Recieve His holy love
Gaze into the eyes of your Father,
And smile down on us from above

Dear Brother Daniel,
We'll see you in heaven one day
Let the sublime beauty embrace you,
In this, together we pray
