Don't have much time to write, so I'll be brief on what happened during WEEK 2 of our class.
1. Everybody is beginning to feel comfortable, even the girl(s).
2. Today's class was quite a serious one, and I think it really hit home for one or two indviduals.
3. We ran out of time before we could do another activity planned, primarily because Ed had to discuss something with the class briefly, so that was a negative.
4. We all prayed for each other today, and that's about the most important thing that we can do, so that's a plus.
5. I'd like to have Winston maybe take more of an authority role. At this point, I'm the one doing most of the talking, so perhaps he can lead next weeks class. He does an excellent job when he leads, especially during the bible study today.
6. I'm hoping Erica is slowly learning. I'm not sure if she is getting anything out of the class, especially since Winston and I are so inexperienced. But I hope it is serving as a guide for how to run a classroom.
7. At this point, we haven't had any problems with students. Every one of them is enthusiastic and willing to participate.
8. The only problem we have is that 3 individuals didn't show up today. I'm not sure whether they couldn't make it, or didn't want to. Regardless, I'm hoping to see them next week.
9. For the next class, I'm hoping to have the students lead the discussion. So far, it has just been Winston and I doing most of the talking and lecturing, which can be good, but can also (and from what I've seen in the past two weeks) be detrimental. For that reason, I'm hoping to maybe get a debate going next week. I'll have to talk to Winston about it.
